Panthalassa is a newborn collective which is rooted in the coastal provinces of the Marche.
An innovative cultural hub that houses musicians, performers, graphic and video artists, librarians and disseminators: it preaches a work ethic founded on impromptu interactions between music and other forms of art, an attitude displayed in site-specific performances.
This whole palette of techniques closely merges with the alchemy of collaboration and its goal is that of achieving a shareable human engineering.
Panthalassa’s first output comes under the shape of a cassette: a live recording of an improvised rehearsal where Simone Doria, Ldgu, Loris Cericola and Andrea Balietti ponder on the element of water.
In this imaginary travel that spans from prehistory to how the Mediterranean Sea is regarded nowadays, the aquatic element is both the container and the content.
There where the music, in the beginning, seems to be nurtured by a womb-like dimension, it finally goes ashore when the clouds on the horizon get darker and darker.
